Since I was 3 years old, I have always liked movies and cartoons with Finding Nemo igniting my passion. My artwork has reflected my personal life such as the importance of my family, grieving the loss of loved ones, and learning to love who I truly am. I love 2D animation because I always felt an emotional connection to handrawn animation because of the process. I love the process in conveying emotion and movement through multiple drawings that bring characters and stories to life. I am attending SCAD in pursuit of a 2D animation degree minoring in Business. Through animation, I can express who I am, both the good and bad parts of my life or something made that I can personally relate to that I feel the audience can also relate to. In the future, I will use my degree to obtain a job as a 2D animator at the company I choose which will mark a new chapter in my life.
